La fotografia e il web
Mi chiamo Rocco, sono nato a Bologna nel 1968.
Questo sito non ha alcuna pretesa professionale, vuole semplicemente documentare la mia passione per i viaggi, per la natura e la fotografia.

La voglia di fotografare cresce nel corso degli anni.
Il passaggio da analogico a digitale è avvenuto nel 2004, inizialmente con una Sony Bridge fino all’attrezzatura Nikon che utilizzo attualmente, che mi ha portato a curare le immagini in maniera più ricercata.
Prediligo la fotografia di paesaggio e natura, ma mi attraggono un po’ tutte le sue diramazioni.

Il titolo del sito racconta il mio pensiero: INVITO AL VIAGGIO.
Non solo un viaggio fisico ma anche spirituale, inseguendo sempre ciò che mi appassiona.

Il sito è on-line dal marzo 2006.
Da agosto del 2009 è on-line anche il mio Blog, parole ed immagini che raccontano viaggi e sensazioni. E' possibile lasciare un commento al termine degli articoli.

L’idea di viaggio
Un viaggio è fatto di lunghi voli ed attese, di migliaia di km in auto, di avventurosi trekking e così via…
Ma soprattutto è uno stato d’animo, è l’emozione di essere in quel posto in quel preciso momento o le parole scambiate con un perfetto sconosciuto che parla una lingua diversa; è il suono del vento, il profumo dell’aria fresca del mattino, l’odore del mare, la magia dei colori, la forma delle nuvole.
Tutto questo lo si porta via con se, per sempre,
e non si può mettere in valigia.

Quasi 20 anni in giro per il mondo
Il mio girovagare mi ha portato fra Stati Uniti e Canada, per una decina di lunghi viaggi itineranti, da Key West in Florida fino al villaggio di Barrow su in Alaska, esplorando i grandi parchi americani, le mie mete preferite in assoluto.

Poi in Centro e Sud America nel Messico meridionale, la foresta amazzonica in Venezuela e l’Argentina fino alla Terra del fuoco.

Caraibi ed Antille dalle splendide isole Bahamas, visitando Cuba e l’isola di Grenada.

La meravigliosa Australia, dal Queensland ai Territori del Nord, attraversando il deserto del Red Centre fino alle coste di South Australia, Victoria e New South Wales.

Ancora tanti km in auto attraverso la vecchia Europa. Partento da sud, Turchia e Grecia, poi Slovenia, Svizzera, Austria, Germania, Spagna, Francia. E più a nord, Inghilterra, Scozia, Irlanda e Norvegia. 

Per finire, la selvaggia e spettacolare natura africana esplorando
Sud Africa, Botswana e Zimbabwe.

L’Italia e il mio territorio
L’Italia è un paese meraviglioso. Adoro il sud, in particolare la Sicilia. Poi Abruzzo, Umbria, Marche e Toscana. Le grandi montagne del nord sono fra le mie mete preferite.
Ho lasciato per ultimi i luoghi a cui sono più legato, Bologna e il territorio dell’Emilia Romagna. L’appennino ed i suoi parchi sono a portata di mano e di fotografia ed è lassù che mi perdo più volentieri.

Photography and web
My name is Rocco, I was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1968.
This website makes no claim to professional, just want to express my passion for travel, nature and photography.

The desire to photograph grows over the years.
In 2004 occurred the transition from analog to digital system, first with Sony Bridge cameras to the Nikon equipment I use now, which led me to treat the images in more sophisticated.
I prefer landscape and nature photography , but I'm attract a bit’all its branches.

The title of the website tells my thoughts: INVITO AL VIAGGIO (INVITATION TO TRAVEL). Not only a physical journey but also spiritual, always chasing what I'm passionate about.

This website is online since march 2006.
From august 2009 is also online my Blog, words and images that tells journeys and feelings. You can leave a comment at the end of the articles.

The idea of travel
A journey is made of long flights and waiting, thousands of miles by car, adventure trekking and so on…
The trip is primarily a state of mind, is the thrill of being in that place at that precise moment, the words exchanged with a perfect stranger
who speaks a different language, is the sound of the wind,
the scent of fresh air morning, the smell of the sea, the magic of colours, the shapes of clouds.
All this becomes part of you forever,
and you can not put in a suitcase.

Almost 20 years around the world
My wanderings took me between the United States and Canada, for ten long trips travelling from Key West, Florida to the village of Barrow, Alaska, exploring the great American parks,
my absolute favourite.

I explored the Center and South America through southern Mexico, the Amazon rainforest in Venezuela and Argentina to Tierra del Fuego.

Caribbean Antilles and the beautiful Bahamas, visiting Cuba and the island of Grenada.

The wonderful Australia, from Queensland to the Northern Territory, crossing the desert of the Red Centre to the shores of South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.

Still many drive through the old Europe. Departing from the south, Turkey and Greece, and Slovenia, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Spain, and more on north, England, Scotland, Ireland and Norway. 

Finally, the african wild territory and spectacular nature of South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Italy and my territory
Italy is a wonderful country. I love the South, especially Sicily. Then Abruzzo, Umbria, Marche and Tuscany.The great mountains of the north are among my favourite.
I left for the last places that are more connected, Bologna and Emilia Romagna area. The Apennines and its parks are close at hand and photography and is up there I get lost more readily.
